Many of us go the extra mile.
We study our every move. Every circumstance. Every opportunity. Every obstacle, no matter insignificant.
And we jump a little further. Or skip higher. Others explore new horizons.
Some lie through their teeth. Others are straightforward. Only the undecided mumbles in darkness.
A few make allies. Some harbor enemies. Others summon demons.
Whatever.
We all go the extra mile.
Whether it is for a case to win in court, an election to beat, or a killing to make.
For this once, I offer it to love, which is not necessarily mine to keep.
